Working dogs are hard for some people to classify as far as their importance in a family setting, especially when learning how to balance basic training and hunting dog training. Yet most people eventually learn what lifelong hunters already know- hunting dogs are just as much a part of the family as any other dog. Hunting dogs are friendly, loving and playful. They aren’t dangerous to humans and when properly trained, only go after game when commanded to. In fact, most hunting dogs are better trained than other dogs! Hunting dogs are very much a part of the family and often much more.
